Speaking Up: My Interview on Mix56 About Recovering From Vulval Pain

Penny Dee Mix56 Radio Vulval Pain

Penny Dee & Heather Coppard Interview -

I recently had an opportunity to speak with the amazing Penny Dee on Mix56 Radio about a topic that affects so many lives yet is rarely spoken about; vulval and vaginal pain.  In this interview, I share the story behind my book, Optimising Recovery from Vulval and Vaginal Pain, and why I felt compelled to write it.

Many women face the physical and emotional toll of chronic intimate pain, yet struggle to access effective help and support.  The interview explores the challenges I experienced of living with vulvodynia.

Whether you're living with pain yourself or supporting someone who is, I hope this conversation brings insight, comfort, and a sense of solidarity.

You can listen to the full interview (see link above).

My sincere thanks to Penny Dee and Mix56 https://mix56.co.uk/shows/the-penny-dee-show/

The more we talk about these issues, the less alone we feel.

‘I had to give up four jobs in four years’

I have recently been signposted to this article in The Guardian.  As we know millions of women suffer with vaginal pain, yet the subject remains somewhat taboo. Articles like this are essential for starting to breakdown the stigma and to raise awareness about the condition and where to get support.

Thank you to The Guardian for this vital conversation.

Miserable Menopause

The Menopause is experienced differently by every single woman. Some of us may embrace this time of transition and feel liberated by the absence of periods whilst others may experience unwanted symptoms, such as hot flushes, anxiety and intimate dryness.

The good news is that we can effect a positive change on our bodies and our experience of menopause. Simple lifestyle changes to areas such as sleep, diet, exercise and stress management can have a profound improvement on menopausal symptoms.

At Female Health Hypnotherapy, I offer one to one menopause support for women. This program adopts a holistic approach to your menopause and includes hypnotherapy and mindfulness sessions individually tailored to your specific needs.

Hypnotherapy has been shown to be particularly useful in helping with the menopause (see article below). Please contact me for further information about how this great course could support you. Heather
